GetDesigned.com was originally founded as TGWD.com (Tanya Gaytan Web Design) in late 1997. TGWD provided web design and hosting services to small to mid-sized businesses. During 1997, Windows 95 was the most popular operating system, windows 98 would be released in 5 months, and Internet Explorer 3.0 and Netscape 3.5 were the most commonly used browsers. We developed our first corporate site using a combination of Notepad and Frontpage97.

We have come along way since the early days thanks to technical innovations and hard work. We have been nationally recognized as a leader in web design by magazines such as Inc. and Inc. Technology. We finished tenth (out of 240 firms) in a national web design challenge in 1998 for Inc. Technology Magazine. Most recently, we earned the golden web award from the International Association of Webmasters and Designers for 1999-2004. This award was given to GetDesigned.com in recognition of creativity, integrity and excellence on the Web.

Earlier this year we divided TGWD into two individualized firms. GetDesigned.com for custom e-business solutions, and VPHosting.com for outsourced hosting services. Web development and hosting go “hand in hand”, however, the types of support are dramatically different. We want to make sure that you receive the best service, always. Therefore, we created the two new firms to allow us to provide specialized sales and support channels for each type of customers.
